To my lovely wife, Kay

I never meant to hurt you the way that I have. Your love means more to me than anything and I'll do anything to prove that to you. My heart breaks when I think about what I have done to you. Since the day I met you, your love touch my heart in a way nothing else ever has. Without you, my life would be empty. Please forgive me for all the pain that I have cause you? I promise with each passing day that I will do whatever it takes to make it up to you. Baby, you have my heart and my love and I promise to never hurt you again.

Loving you always,
Jamie

A True Fan!

First of all,I would like to apologize for not blogging in awhile. My family and I have been through some stressful situations that just made me want to sit back and think about some things that I just havent given much concern to before. Now with that said.....

How about those billies?Could it be a repeat of the 1994 season?I mean they are 4-0 in conference play. The only game they lost was to Warren, but who doesnt lose to Warren?I feel like they[Monticello] will go undefeated in conference. The only test that thy have left is Pulaski Academy.Who could have imagined that they were picked to finish third but now [they] are leading the bracket.

There is another local team that is not having such luck, the Drew Central Pirates. This team has somewhat impressed me though.I mean they started out playing real poorly and all of a sudden they win two games.Their "NEVER DIE" attitude will get them far. This team will definitely be something to watch out for in the next couple of years.

And now to the Razorbacks.I have heard alot of people say "Nutt,we have a problem" or "Nuttin' like 0-2 conference."All I have to say about that is,GET OVER IT!!!!!
So what if we are 0-3 in conference? We lost 3 last year. What is the difference between losing 3 at the end of the season rather than at the beginning? Dont blame Houston Nutt for not calling the right plays; because I thought that was what they hired David Lee for. Houston has done a great job as head coach.Under him,we have won 3 conference titles, taken the hogs to a whole load of bowl games, granted, we didnt win them all but we still got there.Either youre a hog fan or your not!!But dont dare call yourself a hog fan, if all you can do is talk about what they are doing wrong.A true fan will praise these young players about what they did right and looks forward to the next game.Arkansas has played some very tough teams so far this year.Alabama,Auburn(who beat then number 2 ranking Florida) and of course,Kentucky. I am probably going to step on some toes here, but I cant say that I m not happy that Kentucky beat L.S.U.Sorry,L.S.U. fans.I mean, they are a good team but when I was watching them play Florida,I noticed how their coach was laughing and making fun of Florida's mistakes. What ever happened to good sportmanship? I will close on that note.....

Anyhow,on a much lighter note,I would like for everyone to wish my son good luck as he tests for his next belt in Taekwando.Good Luck Jaxen, daddy is behind you 100%!!!!!!!

My Loves

This week I would like to change things up a bit.So if you will bear with me...

The people who know me,know there are very few loves in my life:God,my wife,my kids and my family-not necessarily in that order.

I am married to a beautiful, smart woman and I tell people that I keep falling deeper in love with her each passing day.I am one lucky man that she has stayed with me all of these years, especially after all of the hell that I have put her through.
She has also given me three beautiful children.
My oldest girl, who has Down Syndrome, has taught me alot, especially how to love unconditionally. She has the most innocent little smile and the sweetest hugs. She started third grade this year and I am scared to death for her.It is such a new,big world for her.

My middle child,my son,has got to be one of the smartest kids that I have ever been around. He just started the second grade and is already teaching his old man things that I didnt know before.I made him a deal this year.I told him that if he made all A's that his mother and I would buy him an Xbox 360,not thinking that he would do so with ease.
My third child and youngest,my baby girl,is the tough, no nonsense, dont mess with me, type of child, but she is still my princess.Unfortunately she is back in Kindergarten this year.Dont get me wrong, she is a smart cookie, but we felt like she just wasnt quite ready to go on to 1st grade yet.

I know that I am just rambling on and on,but one of our family members is having medical problems currently and it got me to thinking. At any given moment, one of my loves can be taken from me.That would just kill me.So I ask you, when your see your wife or husband, tell them that you love them, hug your kids, kiss them, love them like there is no tomorrow and thank the good lord up above for each passing day that you get to spend with them.

Are you ready for some football?

CAN YOU FEEL IT? CAN YOU SMELL IT?

I am referring to the adrenaline ,the sweet excitement of a friday night football game and then again,on Saturday,a college football game.Oh, what a rush!!!

The Monticello High School Billies will soon begin their season and I for one, feel like they will have a spectacular season. They have alot of sophmores that came off of an undefeated championship season in Junior Varsity, that undoubtedly make a big impact this year.

And I cannot post about the new football season without mentioning the brand new football team,The Drew Central Pirates.I have heard alot of good things about these guys.I won't name any names, yet, but I was told that these guys are learning fast and hitting hard. However,I dont feel like this young team will win very many games this year, even though they're just playing junior varsity teams during this first year. Now dont get me wrong,I am not trying to count them out,but they are a new, young team and alot of them have never even played football before.I would like to wish them a safe and wonderful season!!!

Last but NEVER least,my favorite team of all time,The Arkansas Razorbacks!!!There was alot fo controversy this past summer due to Mitch Mustain and Gus Malzahn leaving and because of someone not minding their own business[with Coach Nutt's cell phone records.]Hopefully, the Hogs will get back on track and bust off another 10 game wins this season,or 11 or more.
I know what I think and I know how I feel,I feel like Darren McFadden will win the Heisman since he is already the #1 running back in the nation. Now,I want to know what you think.Besides,DMac,who do YOU think? Cast your vote on the poll to the right.

And as always, every time the teams take the field, let's pray that they play a good game and that they come off of the field safe and injury free.

The first Hogs game of the season will be September 1,2007 vs. Troy at 6 p.m.

The first Pirates game in 57 years will take place August 30,2007 vs. Parkers Chapel

The first Billies game of the season will take place August 31,2007 vs.Hamburg, kickoff is at 7:00 p.m..

See you all at the games!!!!!

A tribute to Paul Eells

A man who got his start in Iowa doing radio shows,Paul Eells quickly found himself in front of the camera.

Paul Eells was originally from Iowa but later moved to Nashville, Tennessee before living the rest of his life in central Arkansas. During his ten-year stay in Nashville, he was Sports Director at WSM-TV, later WSMV-TV ,and Voice of the Vanderbilt Commodores on radio. In 1978, he moved to central Arkansas to become sports director at KATV in Little Rock.-Wikipedia

He came to Arkansas and fell in love with state just as much as we love him.He was the VOICE of the razorbacks. You could see the excitement and the joy in his facial expressions when he talked about the hogs.

I remember growing up and the razorbacks would be playing.I would turn on the television, turn the volume down and turn the radio up.I would get an adrenaline rush everytime he said "Oh my,he broke free ......30,20,10,5 TOUCHDOWN ARKANSAS!!!He brought excitement to the game and the whole Razorback program.

I,for one, truly miss Paul Eells. So as one last tribute to a great man and an icon-lets give him one last Woooooooooooooooo PIG SOOIE!

WIn, Lose or Draw!!!

My name is Jamie and I am a die hard Arkansas Razorback fan.I have been cheering them on since I was in diapers.I love the hogs whether they go all the way or lose every game. This blog will be a testament to that fact.I will throughtout the lifetime of this blog discuss seasons, players, the coaches and maybe throw a little sentimentality into the mix.

But it doesnt just end at the hogs.I may also write on other topics, excluding politics and religion. For example,I may write about my favorite local highschool football games-or about my wife and kids. You never know till you show up, what is going through this mind of mine.

I do have a few rules-Feel free to leave comments but keep 'em clean. My opinions and your opinions are just that-opinions and nothing more. You can voice yours,I can voice mine-we can agree or we can agree to disagree, just keep it clean.

Looking forward to this years seasons....See you at the game!
